Questions we get asked a lot

Everything you need to know about Stitch before getting started.

General
What is Stitch?
Stitch is an AI-powered workflow automation platform built for the UK solar installation supply chain. It connects installers, wholesalers, and homeowners on a single platform - automating quoting, MCS documentation, procurement, and communications from lead to completion.
Who is Stitch built for?
Stitch is built primarily for MCS-certified solar installers and the wholesalers who supply them. Homeowners benefit indirectly through faster, better-communicated installations. If you are in the UK solar supply chain - from sole-trader installer to national distributor - Stitch is for you.
Is Stitch only for solar?
For now, yes. We have built Stitch specifically around the UK solar installation workflow including MCS compliance, system design, and solar-specific procurement. We may expand to other renewable technologies in the future.
Getting Started
How do I get access?
Stitch is currently in early access. You can request access via the Get in Touch page and we will onboard you as part of our pilot programme.
How long does onboarding take?
Most installers are up and running within a day. We handle the initial setup, connect your integrations, and walk you through the platform. There is no lengthy IT project required.
Do I need to replace my existing tools?
No. Stitch is designed to integrate with the tools you already use - including Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, Xero, and Shopify. You can adopt Stitch gradually rather than ripping out existing systems on day one.
Features & Compliance
Does Stitch handle MCS documentation?
Yes. Stitch auto-generates MCS-compliant paperwork at the appropriate stage of each job. Documents are populated from the job data already in the system, eliminating manual data re-entry and reducing the risk of errors that delay certification.
Can Stitch help with system design?
Yes. Stitch includes AI-assisted system design that suggests optimal configurations based on site data and customer requirements. It speeds up the design and quoting process significantly.
How does the Shopify integration work?
Stitch maps the bill of materials from a system design directly to SKUs in your wholesaler's Shopify store. This means you can go from design to procurement in minutes, with the right products at live pricing, rather than manually cross-referencing catalogues.
Does Stitch send communications to homeowners automatically?
Yes. At each key stage of a job - quote sent, install scheduled, installation complete, certificate issued - Stitch can automatically notify the homeowner via email or WhatsApp. You stay in control of the messaging templates.
Pricing & Security
How much does Stitch cost?
Pricing details will be confirmed ahead of general availability. Early access partners receive preferential rates. Get in touch to discuss options for your business.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Stitch is built on secure cloud infrastructure. Customer and job data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
I have a question that isn't answered here.
